Great opportunity: we are hiring a plastering hand in Butler County, Iowa. You will work at a new-build housing development. Day-to-day duties: • Apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls You should have: • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel Rotating shifts.
