Fire and safety officer — Oguta

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Oguta, Imo State. The job is on a high-rise building project. What we are looking for: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day to day you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer ₦1,000 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
