Gardener wanted in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gardener in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a plant nursery. Requirements: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting The role involves apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
