Gtaw welder wanted in Towner County

Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Towner County, North Dakota. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring).
