Join our team: we are hiring a hand presser in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 2+ years on the tools preferred.
