On the job you will handle: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Part-time with flexible hours.
