Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Sonoma County, California. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $29 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Share your details and we will call you back.
