Safety officer • Yakima County, Washington

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Yakima County, Washington. You will be based at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
