Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Biriniwa, Jigawa State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces.
