Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Santa Cruz County, California. Requirements: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine The role involves: • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience.
