We are recruiting: sample machinist (Arkansas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Montgomery County, Arkansas. The role involves stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $21 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
