Urgent requirement: aluminium TIG welder (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush.
