Garment machinist — Ovia South-West

Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Ovia South-West, Edo. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. Your main tasks: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
