Brick mason • Ravalli County, Montana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Ravalli County, Montana. Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Six days a week, one day off.
