Commercial refrigeration engineer • Argyll and Bute, Scotland

We are recruiting: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The job is in an HVAC service company. What we are looking for: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders On the job you will handle: • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Trace electrical circuits with a multimeter Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
