Banksman wanted in Mason County

Now hiring: we are hiring a banksman in Mason County, Illinois. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Rotating shifts.
