Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Lincoln County, Tennessee. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper.
