Fabricator-welder — Ashland County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Ashland County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Day to day you will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish.
