Aluminium tig welder — Steuben County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Steuben County, New York. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. You will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Full-time, day shift.
