Vacancy available: reinforcement steel fixer (South Dakota)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. Day to day you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
