Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Marion County, Tennessee. Day-to-day duties: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
