Pipe tig welder wanted in Dumfries and Galloway

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. On the job you will handle: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection We offer £2,950 per month plus benefits.
