Now hiring: sheet metal welder (Jigawa State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Babura, Jigawa State. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
