Press shop operator wanted in Los Alamos County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a press shop operator in Los Alamos County, New Mexico. You will be based in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day to day you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean. Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
