Great opportunity: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Schuyler County, Illinois. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. The role involves: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
