You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites On the job you will handle: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time, day shift.
