Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Woodward County, Oklahoma. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On a typical shift you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
