Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Dubuque County, Iowa. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Full-time, day shift.
