You should have: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold On a typical shift you will recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture.
