Now hiring: conventional mill operator (California)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Riverside County, California. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. Your main tasks: • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
