Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane operator in City of Falls Church, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance On the job you will handle: • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
