Vacancy available: gas service engineer (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Wythe County, Virginia. You will work in a gas distribution network. Ideal candidate: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Day to day you will lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances.
