Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Washington County, Virginia. The job is in a tailoring workshop. You will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work 5+ years on the tools preferred.
