Great opportunity: we are hiring a kitchen cook in Columbia County, New York. You will be based in a catering banquet kitchen. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies The role involves follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; keep the station clean and sanitised throughout the shift; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service.
