Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Story County, Iowa. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On a typical shift you will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp.
