Presser — Wabaunsee County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a presser in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
