We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Polk County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat You should have: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites 5+ years on the tools preferred. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
