Slinger signaller • Barnes County, North Dakota

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Barnes County, North Dakota. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
