Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Rawlins County, Kansas. The job is at a busy garment factory. Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers.
