We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Latah County, Idaho. Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 6+ years on the tools preferred. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
