Vacancy available: TIG welder (Tennessee)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Hamblen County, Tennessee. You will be based on a structural steel site. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage You will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
