Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Delaware County, New York. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On the job you will handle: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
