Industrial sewing operator wanted in Sumter County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Sumter County, Georgia. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Part-time with flexible hours.
