Immediate opening: uPVC welding machine operator (New York)

Join our team: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Orleans County, New York. You should have: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Day-to-day duties: • Cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
