Head baker — City of Williamsburg

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head baker in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Day-to-day duties: • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to work early-morning and night shifts 3+ years on the tools preferred.
