Head baker • Washtenaw County, Michigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head baker in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The job is at a busy bakery. Day-to-day duties: • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them What we are looking for: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
