Tailor machinist — Livingston County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Livingston County, Illinois. The role involves change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
