The role involves check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
