Banksman wanted in Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Jefferson County, Illinois. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
