Immediate opening: argon welder (South Dakota)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Roberts County, South Dakota. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection On a typical shift you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
